The company is founded by Gustav Adolf Pfleiderer as a lumber agency and timber rafter in Heilbronn on the Neckar River in Germany. One of the company’s first orders was for a delivery of wooden impact-driven piles to Amsterdam.
1919
Acquisition and development of a sawmill in Neumarkt, Bavaria, and development of impregnation technology for wooden poles and railway ties on today's factory site.
1956
Construction of a spun-concrete pole plant in Neumarkt for light and catenary poles.
1969
Beginning of spun-concrete pole production in the concrete plant, for broadcasting, television, and telephone poles.
1973
Launch of the manufacture of plastic products (PVC profiles shapes) in Neumarkt.
1975 Enlargement of plastics manufacturing and production of spun poles made of glass-fibre-reinforced plastic (GRP).
1980
Acquisition of the Mitterer steel-pole plant in Regensburg, Bavaria; production of solid-wall steel poles.
1981
Beginning of pole production in the USA.
1985
Temporary manufacture of catenary poles in Arganda, Spain, for the Madrid-Sevilla project.
1989
Acquisition of the company steel-pipe company Stahlrohrbau Nürnberg, with production plants in Dinkelsbuehl and Berlin; manufacture of steel tapered and cylindrical lighting poles.
1990
Construction of a production plant for steel poles in Neumarkt.
1991 Acquisition and enlargement of a concrete pole plant for pre-stressed spun-concrete poles in Coswig, Saxony. Beginning of production of columns for architecturally sophisticated buildings. Commissioning in Neumarkt of the largest centrifugal bench in the world (for spun-concrete poles up to 36 metres long).
1992
Construction of a training centre for commercial trainees in Neumarkt.
1994 Discontinuation of production of wooden poles in Neumarkt.
1995
Acquisition of the company CAL-Apparatebau Leipzig GmbH, manufacturers of steel towers for wind power plants, in Leipzig.
1996
Founding of the Spanish branch PESA TELECOM S.A. (now PESA Europoles S.A.U.) in Tarragona, Spain. Entry into the advertising pole market.
1998
Founding of a sales office in Warsaw, Poland (today Europoles Sp. z.o.o.). Transfer of cylindrical pole production from Berlin to Dinkelsbuehl, Germany.
1999 Founding of a plant in Lille, France (today Europoles S.A.R.L.).
2000
Strategic realignment of Pfleiderer AG: organisational concentration of all pole activities in the business units Poles, Telecommunications, and USA.

Founding of the logistics centre for steel light poles in Neumarkt.

Launch of production of sign gantries.
2004
Founding of Pfleiderer Poles & Towers GmbH & Co. KG, in Neumarkt, Bavaria. Withdrawal from the USA pole business (Newmark International). Divestment of the steel tower production in Leipzig. Relocation of pole production from Coswig to Neumarkt.
Acquisition of Pfleiderer Poles & Towers by a group of financial investors, VTC Industrieholding GmbH (www.vtc.de), on 1 December, 2004.
2005
Change of corporate name to Pfleiderer Europoles GmbH & Co. KG and launch of new company logo, linked with new corporate design.
2007
Europoles acquires the Swiss company Nivatec GmbH (www.nivatec.ch) and expands its portfolio of services with lowerable floodlight mounts for lighting towers.
2008
Founding of the company Europoles Middle East L.L.C in Oman, in collaboration with the partner Rukun al Yaqeen, and construction of the company’s own production plant for spun-concrete poles in Nizwa.
Europoles founds the company Europoles Istanbul Enerji Taahhüt Sanayi ve Ticaret Ltd. Sti. in Turkey, as well as Europoles UK Ltd. in the United Kingdom.
Acquisition of the surface-technology company Merckx Oberflächentechnik (www.merckx.de) in Werl, Germany, and change in name of the company to Eurocoatings GmbH. This acquisition resulted in setting up the company’s own business unit for surface technologies.
Founding of a joint venture Cevipoles Spa. in Algeria, together with the partner Cevico Spa., for the purpose of building a production facility for spun-concrete masts.
