C-mast catenary masts from Europoles are now in use on the new German ICE high-speed rail lines between Nuremberg and Ingolstadt, and from Munich to Augsburg. These masts, manufactured in our prestressed spun-concrete processes, feature the following advantages:
- Low-cost construction
- Very high mast quality, with virtually no maintenance
- Simple and low-cost foundation techniques installation (externally-rammed pipe foundation)
- Possibility of pre-assembly for universal applications
- Certification for high-speed lines of up to 330 km per hour
- Simple and flexible installation of catenary wires (with fastening bands or integrated threaded bushings)

Economical vertically installed tube installation
The vertically installed tube installation is superior to the classical installation of the poles. It allows for very fast installation of the masts, which are simply inserted into the vertically installed tubes and fastened in place. No need for expensive fundament work.
Furthermore, our catenary poles are especially resistant against vibration. Vibration to the overhead catenary cables due to the suction of passing trains is therefor prevented.
The following rail lines use our long distance catenary masts:
High-speed lines:
HGV Nürnberg - Ingolstadt
HGV Köln - Frankfurt
HGV München - Augsburg
Normal rail lines:
Röhrmoos
Offenbach
Rodgau
